Tibet is the highest and most isolated country in the world. It's the big white zone on the map. Hidden behind the towering
Himalaya, it was unknown to Europeans until the 9th Century and has been closed to visiotrs for most of the last 30 years.
The Chinese government is now allowing access to organised groups to explore this rugged country.
A mountain bike allows you to experience the reality of life in this in hospitable but incredibly beautiful land. You
not only see the sights, but hear and smell the countryside and lifestyles of the Tibetan people. We will be travelling along
ancient trade routes, used by pilgrims, trucks and buses, visitng activie monastaries, palaces and temples.
We will be camping at high altitudes among 8000+m peaks (or staying at guesthouses in small Tibetan villages, if
that is your preference) and eating simple healthy food. In short, we will be a part of this vast landscape with its
endless stunning horizons.
